Professional photographer and Sigma lens user gains a Royal Warrant of Appointment from HRH The Prince of Wales

Sigma Imaging (UK) Ltd is pleased to announce that dedicated Sigma lens user and professional photographer George Bodnar, has just been awarded a prestigious Royal Warrant of Appointment by HRH The Prince of Wales. George’s area of photography is based mainly within the Music and Entertainment sector, producing editorial spreads, sleeves and covers worldwide. His work has developed into theatre and dance photography, taking him all over the world.

George comments ‘I am delighted that HRH The Prince of Wales has granted me a Royal Warrant of Appointment. The Royal Warrant is a gift and is in recognition of continued patronage as photographer to the Prince of Wales. Royal Warrants are incredibly rare and I think this is also an acknowledgment of our industry in general.’

George has been a Sigma lens user for many years ‘I use Sigma lenses exclusively and find the range of lenses second to none’ he continues ‘I may be using the superb 120-300mm with Celiné Dion in Las Vegas or as on a recent successful shoot photographing Status Quo “wing walking” on a couple of bi planes. The Sigma 300-800 zoom easily helped freeze close-ups in the air. I mainly use the shorter lenses in my regular capacity officially photographing members of the Royal family.’

George has a gallery of photographs on the Professional Users section of Sigma UK’s official website. To view some of his images, click on www.sigma-imaging-uk.com
