The Texas Beef Council has announced a a ‘Table for Two’ photo competition. Beef lovers aged 18 and older from around the USA are asked to participate in the contest by posting pictures of their favourite dishes and explaining who they are sharing their meal with on the Beef Loving Texans Facebook Page. Judges from sponsor, Texas Beef Council, will individually evaluate and score all eligible entries received and select one grand prize winner, who will receive four 16oz T-Bone steaks valued at $99. The competition runs until the end of this month, and the winner will be contacted on 10 March 2014.

Texas Beef Council Cooks Up Sizzling ‘Table for Two’ Photo Contest

Beef Loving Texans photo contest launches Valentine’s Day 2014.

Texas Beef Council, on behalf of Texas farmers and ranchers announced today that just in time for Valentine’s Day it will launch a ‘Table for Two’ photo contest on the BEEF Loving Texans Facebook page.

“Nothing says ‘I love you’ like a beef meal, and we want to see what people are cooking to show their love,” says Rachel Chou, Senior Manager, Consumer Communications of the Texas Beef Council. “We know that the sizzle and mouthwatering taste of beef not only makes meal time enjoyable, but it also helps create wonderful memories. We’d like to encourage people to capture those memories and share them.”

The ‘Table for Two’ contest appropriately launching on the day for love, Valentine’s Day, will accept entries from February 14, 2014 through February 28, 2014. Beef lovers 18 and older from around the country are asked to participate in the contest by posting pictures of their favorite dishes and explaining who they are sharing their meal with on the Beef Loving Texans Facebook Page.

Entrants will be encouraged to share their photos with their friends and family to gain votes. Judges from sponsor, Texas Beef Council, will individually evaluate and score all eligible entries received and select one grand prize winner. Entries will be judged 30 percent on Mouthwatering Quality, 30 percent on Overall Quality and 40 percent on Popular Vote. The winner, who will receive four 16 oz T-Bone steaks valued at $99, will be contacted on March 10, 2014.

Texas Beef Council hopes to continue to engage with beef lovers through this campaign creating a fun and easy way to share photos and generate more conversation around family stories and recipes.
