Wonders of Wildlife Photography Competition Winners Announced

The Society of International Nature and Wildlife Photographers (SINWP) has announced the winners of the Wonders of Wildlife photography competition. Malcolm Blackburn from Derbyshire, England was chosen as the winner for his image entitled Zebras at Dawn. "It was taken just after 6:00 am after a dry spell which produced the dust in the shot," Malcolm says. "It was taken on my Canon 5D Mk3 and the Canon 100-400mm Mk2 lens at 400mm. Exposure was 1/500 at f8 and 640 ISO.’’ The runners-up include Ian Stone from Kent and Lawrence Eagling from County Antrim, Northern Ireland.

Wonders of Wildlife Photography Competition - Winners Announced

The Society of International Nature and Wildlife Photographers have announced the winners of the Wonders of Wildlife Photography Competition.

Any wildlife images were welcome in this competition.

Malcolm Blackburn from Derbyshire, England was chosen as the winner from just under 300 images entered in to the competition.

Malcolm has won 12 months membership to The Society of International Nature and Wildlife Photographers (SINWP) organisation.

Malcolm tells us ''Thanks for the good news about the win. Date 1st July, 2016 at Zimanga Game reserve near Mkuze in KwaZulu Natal, RSA. It was taken just after 6:00 am after a dry spell which produced the dust in the shot. It was taken on my Canon 5D Mk3 and the Canon 100-400mm Mk2 lens at 400mm. Exposure was 1/500 at f8 and 640 ISO.’’

Phil Jones, the Societies CEO says, “Augusts’ competition saw some great images of animals and plant life in their natural environment. Malcolm’s image was chosen as the winner as it captured the theme brilliantly’’

There are 2 runners up Ian Stone from Kent, England and Lawrence Eagling from County Antrim, Northern Ireland both won 6 months memberships respectively.
