Sharpness at 55mm

For these sharpness tests the Fujifilm XF 16-55mm f/2.8 R LM WR lens was attached to a Fujifilm X-T1 body, which in turn was mounted on a sturdy tripod. Slight tonal changes are due to slight changes in natural light during the session.

At 55m the centre is just a little soft wide open at f/2.8, with peak performance achieved in the f/4-f/11 range. Diffraction only sets in at f/22. The edges are similarly sharp wide-open at f/2.8, with the f/4-f/11 range again the optimum setting.
