Sharpness at 23mm

For these sharpness tests the Fujifilm 23mm lens was attached to a Fujifilm X-Pro1 body, which in turn was mounted on a sturdy tripod. Slight tonal changes are due to slight changes in natural light during the session.

The centre is remarkably sharp wide open, with peak performance achieved in the f/2-8 range. Diffraction sets in at f/16.

The edges are soft though from f/1.4 through to f2.8, really sharpening up at f/4, with f/8 the optimum setting.
