Sharpness at 56mm
For these sharpness tests the Fujifilm 18-56mm lens was attached to a Leica T body, which in turn was mounted on a sturdy tripod. Slight tonal changes are due to slight changes in natural light during the session.
The full frame at 56mm
At 56mm the centre is fairly sharp wide open, with peak performance achieved at f/11. Diffraction sets in at at f/16.
The edges are somewhat soft at f/5.6 but sharpen up very nicely at f/11.
