Sharpness at 28mm
For these tests, the Olympus M.ZUIKO Digital ED 14-42mm f3.5-5.6 EZ lens was attached to an Olympus OM-D E-M10 compact system camera, which in turn was mounted on a sturdy tripod. The self-timer was used to avoid any vibrations from pressing the shutter release. Slight tonal changes are due to slight changes in natural light during the session.
The full frame at 28mm
Both centre and sharpness aren't great wide open at f/4.9, requiring you to stop down to f/5.6 to get satisfactory results. Diffraction kicks in at f/16 and f/22.
