I switched over to camera awesome instead of the standard camera, and even after the 4.4.2 update it was terrible (couldnt focus properly, constantly re-focussing in video mode)- i thought i’d just have to live with it, until i read this article, gave the standard app a try again and was amazed with the improvement in quality! What a difference. Clearly, there remains something wrong on some level for Camera Awesome to be struggling.
