The body is made from stainless steel and polycarbonate not the all-plastic construction as you have blindly stated.

The advantages of the Pentax K-500 over the K-30 are, better maximum light sensitivity 51,600 ISO vs 12,800 ISO, significantly longer battery life 710 shots vs 410 shots, and the K-500’s maximum light sensitivity is 2 f-stops better.

The K-500 is renamed the K-50 for those of you who want a weather sealed camera like that of the K-30 compared to the K-300.

I, as a photographer look for Image Quality, ISO Performance, Speed, Lens Options and Price. The rest are additional. Pentax K-500 seems to have all these. Therefore, I am buying it.

In your contribution, you have shown that the K-500 has a virtual horizon. I got K-500 but I can not find this function. If you can help?

                    Thanx!
