It’s a cool concept, but it’s kind of ridiculous really. I mean, how long before we start seeing DSLRs which we can make phonecalls with?

Is it? Or is it a phone with a built in camera? This is the problem; the line between phones and cameras is really getting smudged…...

....Even more so than those lines at ISO 3200.

Aren’t you ignoring Nikon’s android camera as a rival?

I own one..and for someone who’s only ever taking pictures with a smartphone it really is a breath of fresh air… I don’t think Samsung was trying to capture the professional market more so than amateurs like me you are very welcome please…also if you are well versed in android and the operating system you know that is very highly customizable and most of the problems that occur can be dealt with

@nate: Glad to read your comment.
I intend to buy one my self well knowing that it’s not competable to a true compact camera.

I have had mine now for a couple of months and took the dicesion to take it in place of my DSLR (and associated accessories) on a cruise. I was mildly suprised at the results that I got.

Sure, the AF was nowhere near as good or as accurate as my Canon’s (then again, neither is myphotography partners NEX6R as a point and shoot) but it fulfilled the role admirably.

I will in future have no qualms about taking it when a Streetwalker Pro et al is out of the question.

If you are a sefie addict I advice you not to buy this Samsung S4 Zoom CM-101 because you can not find a bluetooth remote shutter that is compatible. You may connect to a remote shutter but when you switch it to capture photo it will only adjust the volume . I’m really disappointed buying this cellphone.

This is such a fantastic device. Taking close ups of butterflies and the natural world. Family groups. Sailing pics. Project work.  A fabulous in your pocket portable compact user friendly.  I absolutely love it.
