I’ve been using the T-500 for more than a year. The image quality is good for a lens of this size but don’t expect miracles in low light. The video quality is great when outdoors, when indoors, it drops substantially as the auto focus struggles to lock on. The touch screen works well as stated and has been reliable. Battery life is a joke on this camera when you mainly intend to use it to shoot video. I’m very surprised and disappointed that Sony has not done anything about this issue with the T-90 and T-900.
Having a 5X optical zoom on such a minute camera is extremely impressive and the stabilization works well.
