Fujifilm Finepix F810
Review Date: March 30th 2005
The Fujifilm FinePix F810 is a stylishly designed compact digital camera that uses a refined version of Fujifilm's Super CCD HR sensor. Previously seen on cameras like the FinePix F610 and FinePix S7000 Zoom, the HR sensor on the Fujifilm FinePix F810 supposedly allows you to make larger prints than conventional CCD sensors, as well as reproducing colour more accurately and improving the camera's ability in low-light situations. In addition to the new Super CCD HR sensor, Fujifilm have added another defining feature to the FinePix F810 in the shape of a widescreen (16:9) feature that allows images and movies to be easily viewed on a widescreen television. Other standout features on the Fujifilm FinePix F810 include a 4x optical zoom lens equivalent to 32.5mm - 130mm on a 35mm camera, full range of exposure controls, ISO 80-800 settings and a RAW file format for unprocessed image saving. On paper at least the Fujifilm FinePix F810 is no run-of-the-mill digital camera, but can it live up to its full potential? Carry on reading to find out.
The recommended retail price of the Fujifilm FinePix F810 in the UK is £399.99 and in the US it is $599.99.
