Epson SureColor SC-P600 Unboxing

With printing amongst consumers in sharp decline, it's not often that we see a new photo printer these days. So it's with some excitement that the new Epson SureColor SC-P600 printer has arrived with us for testing. Before we bring you our full SC-P600 review, here's a look at what's in the box and the installation process...
Unboxing and Hardware Installation
The Epson SureColor SC-P600 is very well packaged - "designed without compromise" no less - and it's supplied with UK and European plugs, CD/DVD tray, roll paper holders, installation DVD, paper setup guide, and 9 ink cartridges. These cartridges are designed for installation purposes, and are not the full capacity retail ones (you have to purchase those seperately), so it will be interesting to see how long they actually last before running out.
Setting the SC-P600 up was very straight-forward - removing the vast amount of protective tape and film was the hardest part! There is one annoying omission though - there's no USB cable supplied in the box, so make sure to obtain one before you setup the printer (or use the wi-fi or LAN connection instead). It then takes 10 minutes for the SC-P600 to initialize the ink cartridges before it's finally ready for printing.
