Manfrotto has just launched its new Lumie series of portable LED lights. They feature super bright surface mount LED technology and superior colour accuracy (>92% CRI), and each Lumie LED kit comes with a snap-fit filter mount as well as a variety of CTO and diffusing filters. In addition to the standard filters, there are Portrait, Classic and Multicolour kits as well as a friction-based ballhead that enables 360° pan orientation and up to 35° in any other direction. Fantasea Line has announced the availability of the FG7X underwater housing for the Canon PowerShot G7 X digital compact camera. Manufactured to the highest professional standards, the Fantasea Line FG7X housing provides access to all camera essential functions with ergonomically designed and labelled controls. The FG7X has been successfully depth tested to 80 metres (240ft.) and is certified to a maximum depth of 60m (200ft.), which is well beyond the 40m (130ft.) dive limit of most compact housings. Modelled after its American parent company, MAC Group US, the new MAC Group Europe unit will bring the same unique line of products to the EU. Manfrotto today launched the 190 go!, a new product in the 190 tripod series. The 190 go! is the lightest and most compact 190 in the aluminium range, weighing just 1.7kg. Lowepro today unveiled the next generation of its travel-focused camera and laptop backpacks, the Fastpack II series. Improving protection levels while providing great internal carrying ‘zones,’ the Fastpack II series includes two new packs for the DSLR photographer: the Fastpack 150 AW II and the Fastpack 250 AW II. Each pack features a padded easy-access compartment for a DSLR camera with lens. New additions to this generation include an all-weather protective cover to keep gear safe, and the ability to secure the pack to rolling trolleys at airports. The Fastpack 150 AW II (£96) is designed to hold up to an 11-inch laptop in a built in padded sleeve, and one to two extra lenses or flashes in the camera section of the backpack. Novo is offering a completely new range of photographic filters including what they call the World’s first filter to use Sapphire Crystal glass. PNY Technologies will showcase the latest in Flash technology and host conferences with its PNY Photo Ambassadors Luke Massey and Andy Kruczek at The Photography Show. Among the products to be presented at the trade show are a number of micro SD cards designed for use with up to 4K cameras and action cams, a new line-up of photo accessories and an all-new range of Turbo Performance SD cards with 80Mb/sec read speeds. In April, Think Tank Photo will be releasing the Urban Approach shoulder bag series. Available in two models, the Urban Approach series is specfically designed for compact system camera kits. The Urban Approach 10 (pictured) accommodates one medium to large CSC body or compact DSLR with lens attached, two to four additional lenses, and up to a 10” tablet.
