Datacolor's SpyderHD calibration suite is now available to purchase in the United States. Introduced a week ago in Europe, SpyderHD is a complete workflow solution including the Spyder4 ELITE HD integrated display calibration application, the innovative SpyderWEB (a universal mounting system that securely mounts the Spyder for calibration of most screens), the SpyderCHECK colour reference and gray card system and the portable SpyderCUBE (which provides white balance, exposure, black level and highlight references). The Datacolor SpyderHD package is available for $349.

Fuji has revealed an officialunderwater housingfor the Fujifilm XQ1 digital compact camera. The Fujifilm WP-XQ1 Underwater Housing allows you to use the XQ1 camera at depths up to 40m. Built from Transparent Polycarbonate the sturdy housing not only protects the camera but allows you to use all its controls whilst underwater. With built in Wireless Image Transfer you don’t even need to take the camera out of the housing to transfer your images to smartphone or tablet, so you can start sharing your shots as soon as you come up to the surface. The Nikon SB-N10 is an underwater flash unit compatible with the Nikon 1 AW1 and new Nikon 1 J4 compact system cameras. This speedlight can be attached directly to the AW1 or the Nikon WP-N3 waterproof case, which is compatible with the J4. Powered by 4 AA sized batteries, the Nikon SB-N10 has a guide number of 28 in metres at ISO 100/21° and is depth rated for 100m.

The Nikon WP-N3 is a new underwater case for the Nikon 1 J4 compact system camera. Depth rated for 45m, the Nikon WP-N3 is designed to accommodate the Nikon 1 J4 with the 1 Nikkor VR 10–30mm PD-ZOOM lens or the 1 Nikkor 11–27.5mm f/3.5–5.6 lens attached. Comfortable to grip, even when you’re wearing gloves, key camera controls remain easy to access. When used with the Underwater Speedlight SB-N10, underwater flash photography is also possible. G-Technology has announced the first products in its new Studio line – the G-RAID Studio and G-Speed Studio. The G-RAID Studio is a high-performance storage system with hardware RAID. User-selectable in RAID 0, RAID 1 or JBOD, the G-RAID Studio features Thunderbolt 2 technology and has transfer rates up to 360MB/s for editing high-resolution photos or multiple streams of compressed 2K and 4K projects. G-Technology has announced the latest additions to its Evolution Series family – the G-Drive ev SSD and the 500GB G-Drive ev external drive modules. Offered in a capacity of 512GB, the G-Drive ev SSD (£374.95) is capable of delivering transfer speeds up to 480MB/s when paired with the Evolution Series G-Dock ev with Thunderbolt. Kenro has launched the full range of Marumi EXUS UV filters in the United Kingdom. The Exus range features a special 'anti foul' coating meaning that in rain or inclement conditions water will be repelled off the surface. With a special black ink coating on the outer rim, the incidence of reflection is less than 0.3%. Samsung today annnounced that it is now shipping a new line of SD and microSD memory cards. Boasting newly designed exteriors and branding, the new cards are available in PRO, EVO and Standard categories, colour coded silver, orange and blue respectively. The PRO and EVO products both support UHS-I Grade 1 level performance with read speeds of up to 90MB/s and 48MB/s. All models are guaranteed to survive up to 24 hours in seawater and endure operating temperatures from -13°F to 185°F and non-operating temperatures from- 40°F to 185°F (-25°C to 85°C and -40°C to 85°C). The new Samsung memory card range will be show on the Kondor stand at this year’s Gadget Show 9-13th April, NEC Birmingham, Hall 6, Stand K40.

Hink have launched a Kickstarter project to help fund the commercialisation of what they call 'the world's first flexible flashgun." Called Spacefish, the new flash makes it easier to control your light when shooting and allows you to be more creative. Its flexible neck means that flash movement is no longer limited to tilting and swivelling the flash head. Additionally, Hink have made it easier to attach modular accessories with inbuilt systems for colour filters and remote triggers. Spacefish has a built-in LED modelling/AF-­assist light, a recycle time of approximately 0.8 seconds, and a guide number of 33 in metres. It is currently a manual flash, but if the project surpasses its Kickstarter target, Hink will be able to include e-TTL exposure control on the first model. Arizona based White Dot has launched a Kickstarter project to raise funds for a new camera slider. Designed for digital SLR cameras, the Satellite slider features precision bearing wheels and fully machined sliding surfaces. "In addition to having incredible build quality, the Satellite has many additional features that are a great fit for filmmakers," says Justin Turley, an electrical engineer. These include three stroke lengths, many accessories, four different leg types to choose from, a belt-drive system with crank handwheel, optional motor drive, and much more. The starting price for the Satellite is $150.

Fotodiox Pro has announced the expansion of its GoTough line of GoPro camera accessories. Eizo today unveiled the ColorEdge CG247 and the ColorEdge CX241 24.1" monitors. Both models feature a new wide-gamut IPS panel that reproduces 99% of the Adobe RGB colour space and displays more than a billion colours simultaneously. The ColorEdge CG247 comes with a built-in calibration sensor for self-calibration and is targeted at professionals in photography, prepress, and post production. The ColorEdge CX241 houses an internal correction sensor that maintains the calibration results after the monitor has been calibrated with an external colorimeter. For video editing and post production, the ColorEdge CG247 has a 3D LUT that adjusts colour individually on an RGB cubic table. The ColorEdge CG247 and CX241 will be available in the UK from June 2014.
