The Sony T200 and Sony T70 are the first digital cameras to automatically react to a person’s smile. This auto shutter system is capable of identifying when someone smiles - both the T200 and T70 will immediately take a shot without you needing to press the shutter! More mundane features include 8.1 megapixels, Face Detection and ISO 3200 High Sensitivity. The Sony T200 has a larger 3.5 inch LCD screen and longer 5x optical zoom. The Sony T200 and Sony T70 will be available throughout Europe from the beginning of September 2007.

The Sony H3 is the smallest ever Cyber-shot camera featuring a Carl Zeiss 10x zoom lens. Featuring 8.1 megapixels and a 38-380mm lens, the Sony H3 also offers Face Detection, BIONZ image processor and up to ISO 3200 mode. The Sony H3 will be available throughout Europe from the beginning of September 2007.

TrustedReviews have reviewed the Panasonic DMC-FZ18 digital camera, which features a 18x optical zoom lens, equivalent to 28-504mm on a 35mm film camera.

“The Lumix FZ18 is a very nearly the ultimate super-zoom camera, with good performance and handling, an excellent range of features and a simply astonishing lens, made usable by an equally superb image stabilisation system. However it falls just short of greatness due to the inexplicably small sensor, which in turn leads to image noise and dynamic range issues. It’s still the best 18x super-zoom out there though, at least until September.”

Megapixel.net have reviewed the Samsung NV11 camera, featuring a Schneider lens, Smart Touch user interface, 2.7 inch high definition LCD, 10 megapixels and 5x optical zoom lens.

“This second New Vision Samsung camera is much like the first in some respects, but adds a very good 5X optical zoom, making it more versatile than the NV10. The image quality it offers, when set to the highest (Super Fine) setting, is generally very good. Photographs captured under natural light turn out very well, and it is only under mixed lighting and when the flash is used that the auto white balance can have difficulty. The NV11 is, overall, a good camera that excels in certain areas, and offers an imaginative interface. It would, however, benefit from a less reflective monitor surface.”

“I must confess that I didn’t go into this review with very high expectations for the Casio Exilim EX-Z1050. When all was said and done, though, I was pleasantly surprised by the camera. It offers very good photo quality, snappy performance, tons of point-and-shoot features, and great battery life. Sure, it needs work in a few areas, but what camera doesn’t? The EX-Z1050 offers a lot for a little over $200, making it a great value, and a camera I can recommend.”

“The Casio Exilim EX-Z1050 has very good image quality. Colours are very good and in a very wide range of situations the camera will take sharp, detailed pictures with good exposure.
