The Fujifilm FinePix T300 and T200 are a new range of ultra-compact digital cameras. The T300 and T200 have 14-MegaPixel CCD sensors, FUJINON 10x long-zoom lenses, 720p HD video, and are 18.5mm* thin. The T300 has a 3.0inch LCD, while the T200 has a 2.7 inch LCD. The Fujifilm FinePix T200 will be available in March at $179.95 and the Fujifilm FinePix T300 in April at $199.95.

The Fujifilm FinePix JX350 and JX300 are new slim and stylish digital cameras. The fashionable and highly-portable JX350 and JX300 offer a slim, trend-setting design with powerful features, high resolution sensors, powerful FUJINON 5x zoom lenses and 720p HD movie capture capabilities. The Fujifilm FinePix JX300 will be available in mid-February at $129.95, and the JX350 in April at $159.95.

The Fujifilm FinePix AX300, AV200 and JV200 are three new entry-level compact digital cameras. These easy-to-use cameras contain robust features that include high resolution sensors, powerful zoom and HD movie 720p capabilities, all at an affordable price. All three cameras will be available in February 2011. The AX300 will be available in silver for $99.95, the AV200 in black at $89.95 and the JV200 in black for $109.95.

The Samsung SH100 is a new Wi-Fi enabled digital camera. The SH100 built in Wi-Fi wirelessly connects to other devices, automatically back up your shots to your PC, or wirelessly connect to your HDTV. The Wi-Fi capability on the SH100 also allows you to use your smartphone as a remote control and viewing device for your camera. The Samsung SH100 will be available in March for $199.99.

Kodak has announced three new digital compact cameras. The Kodak Easyshare Touch model ($149.95) features a 3” capacitive touch screen and a dedicated video record button that makes it simple to take 720p HD video that users can edit and share right on the camera. With 14 megapixels and a 5X wide-angle zoom lens, the camera comes with an HDMI connector for HDTV connectivity. The 10-megapixel Kodak Easyshare Mini ($99.95) is Kodak’s smallest camera to date, and comes with 3x optical zoom, a front mirror and a 2.5” rear screen. The third model, the 12-megapixel Kodak Easyshare Sport ($79.95, pictured) is Kodak’s first waterproof still camera.

The Samsung WB700 is a new travel-zoom camera with an 18x optical zoom lens. The 16 megapixel WB700 features a 24mm ultra-wide focal length, 720p video, and manual shooting modes. The Samsung WB700 will cost $299.99 in the USA and £249.99, available in April 2011.

The Rollei Powerflex 3D is a new 5-megapixel digital compact camera featuring a pair of lenses for three-dimensional photography. The camera has a 2.8” rear screen that uses Parallax Barrier Display technology to display the photographs in 3D, without the user’s having to wear any special glasses. Those who want to see their 3D works in bigger size can hook the camera up to any 3D television set but in that case they will need to be wearing the 3D glasses supplied with the TV. Available in January for €299.95, the Rollei Powerflex 3D can also capture normal two-dimensional photos as well as HD movies.

Nikon have released a firmware update for the Coolpix P7000 camera. Version 1.1 includes the following changes:

  * Image recording time at image quality settings that include NRW (RAW) has been reduced.
  * Lens control has been optimized to reduce the frequency with which the “Initializing lens. Cannot focus.” message is displayed.
  * An issue that, in some rare cases, prevented zoom operation has been resolved.
  * An issue that caused the monitor display to exhibit a loss of detail in highlights (blown highlights) when the shutter-release button was pressed halfway with Active D-Lighting enabled has been resolved.

Fujifilm have released a new firmware update for the FinePix REAL 3D W3 camera. Version 1.10 fixes the following issues:

- In [HD][1280] movie recording mode, Economy mode ([HD][1280]E) can be selected.
In this Economy mode, movie quality for long period is optimized.
For long continuous recording of 3D HD movies, Economy mode setting is recommended.

The BenQ S1420 O.I.S. is a new 14-megapixel compact camera with optical image stabilisation and HDR II image enhancement technology. Featuring a 26-130mm equivalent zoom lens, a bright 3.0” LCD, 720p HD video capture and a range of creative shooting modes which includes “LOMO”, “Fisheye” and “Colour accent”. The orange coloured S1420 will be available in China and Asia Pacific in December, Latin America and Europe in January 2011.

Casio has posted a firmware update for the Casio EX-H20G digital compact camera. Version 1.01 enables the camera to write all positioning log data stored in its memory to a memory card. Panasonic has released a new firmware update for the FZ100, FX700 and FX75 compact cameras. Image quality of Motion Deblur in iA Mode has been improved for all three models, while the performance of autofocus in taking pictures while recording Motion Pictures has been improved on the FX700 and FZ100.

Fujifilm have released a new firmware update for the FinePix HS10 / HS11 compact camera. Version 1.04 incorporates the following items:

Rollei has introduced a new range of digital compact cameras. The Powerflex series currently comprises two models, the Rollei Powerflex 440 and the Rollei Powerflex 450, both of which feature 14-megapixel sensors and 720p HD video capture. The Powerflex 450 is equipped with an Apogon branded 5x zoom lens spanning a focal length range of 4.7-23.5mm, which is equivalent to 26-130mm on a 35mm camera. Optical image stabilisation, a close focus point of 2cm, and automatic panorama stitching round off the features list. The Powerflex 440 comes with a 4x optical zoom whose focal range is equivalent to 26-104mm in old money. The cameras will be available in stores from January 2011, at the recommended retail prices of €99.95 and €79.95, respectively.

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF2 is the World’s smallest and lightest compact system camera. Successor to the popular GF1, the new 12 megapixel Panasonic GF2 is 19% smaller in size and 7% less in weight than than its predecessor. Canon has issued a firmware update for the Canon PowerShot SX130 IS camera. Version 1.0.1.0 fixes an issue with the audio being out of sync with the video at the 1280x720-pixel resolution setting.
