Canon have released Digital Photo Professional 3.0.2 for Windows and Mac OS X. Digital Photo Professional is software exclusively for editing and converting RAW images shot by EOS Digital cameras. The update adds the following new features:

Windows Version
1-1. The following functions can now be used in Windows Vista.
- Trimming Tool
- Quick Check Tool
- Detailed settings printing
- Contact sheet printing
1-2. Improvement of image display quality.
Corrected the issue in which jaggies are noticeable in images displayed on the monitor.
1-3. The setting value of Picture Style files will be applied to images.
When a picture style is applied to images, the setting value of picture style (contrast/color tone/color depth/sharpness) will be applied.

Canon have released EOS Utility 2.0.2 for Windows and Mac OS X, EOS Utility is software exclusively for EOS Digital cameras that combines all the functions involving communication with the camera. This software accommodates features such as importing and viewing images on the computer by connecting the camera to the computer, using the remote shooting function, and controlling the camera from the computer to specify the camera settings. The update adds the following new features:

Windows Version
1-1. Support added for Auto Power OFF (camera) during Remote Live View shooting
The Auto Power Off function can now be used during Remote Live View shooting with EOS-1D Mark III.
1-2. Corrected “From PC” in Time Setting on the Camera
It’s corrected that the “From PC” in “Date/Time” of the camera setting does not function properly when a computer is working in daylight saving time.
1-3. The setting value of Picture Style files will be applied to camera.
When a picture style file is set to the camera, the parameters included in the file (contrast/color tone/color depth/sharpness) will be applied to the camera.

iCorrect EditLab Pro 5.5 color correction software is fully compatible with Adobe Photoshop CS3 and offers native support for Intel-based Macintosh computers. Free upgrades are available for registered users who purchased iCorrect EditLab Pro Plug-in on or after January 1, 2007. iCorrect EditLab Pro 5.5 can be downloaded for $99.95, and a free demo version is also available.

Adobe have released an update for the critical vulnerabilities that were recently discovered in Photoshop CS2 and CS3. This could allow an attacker who successfully exploits these potential vulnerabilities to take control of the affected system. A malicious BMP, DIB, RLE, or PNG must be opened in Photoshop by the user for an attacker to exploit these potential vulnerabilities. Users are recommended to update their installations immediately.

DxO Optics 4.5 now supports the the Canon EOS 1D Mark III and Nikon D40x Digital SLR camera bodies,plus the Tokina AT-X 107 AF DX Fish-Eye AF 10-17mm f/3.5-4.5 lens. DxO Optics Pro software improves the image quality of Digital SLR cameras and advanced digicams. “We are very excited to add support in DxO Optics Pro for this exciting lens by Tokina. Sony Photo Go digital photo editing and management software has been updated and is now Windows Vista compatible. Sony Photo Go costs US $24.95 and will be available this fall in North America. Photo Go will not be available outside this region.

Ilford Studio Professional 7 is a new software RIP that allows photographers to take complete control of the digital printing process. Ilford Studio 7 features an advanced profile range with improved colour fidelity, faster ripping, and an auto-rotate function that can slot images into available spaces more efficiently and therefore save on media. ILFORD STUDIO 7 currently supports Epson StylusPro series printers, and will soon include the Canon ProGraphics range and HP Z series. Ilford Studio Professional 7 costs £399 in the UK.

PicMe Photo Sharing is the first digital photo sharing service to feature an interactive 3-D desktop experience. The Plugin Site has updated the Harrys Filters and PhotoFreebies plugins. Harry’s Filters is a free Photoshop compatible plugin containing dozens of image effects. The PhotoFreebies are a collection of 11 freeware plugins with various effects for digital photos. The Adobe CS3 Master Collection and Production Premium bundles are now available in North America, completing the CS3 lineup. Other language versions - including French, German and Japanese - will be available by mid July. Adobe Creative Suite 3 Master Collection costs US$2,499, and Adobe Creative Suite 3 Production Premium is US$1,699.

DxO Optics Pro 4.5 adds an Adobe Photoshop Lightroom plug-in, Flickr Export plug-in, Automatic Crop and is faster and more efficient than previous versions. “The new DxO Optics Pro Plug-in for Adobe Photoshop Lightroom is the first step in tightly integrating DxO image science into this very popular photographic software embraced by photographers around the world,” says Luc Marin, vice president of the Photography business at DxO Labs. Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 1.1 is now available as a free upgrade for existing users. New features in Lightroom 1.1 include support for Windows Vista, improved noise reduction and sharpening and support for 13 new digital camera RAW files. Photoshop Lightroom costs US $299.

AKVIS Coloriage has been updated to version 4.5. This plug-in manipulates the colors of an image: from colorizing black and white photos to replacing colors in color photos.
