Eastman Kodak Company and T-Mobile Press Release

KODAK Mobile Service teams with T-Mobile to offer first Pan European online picture sharing service to customers across Europe

T-Mobile Customers In 3 European Countries Will Be Able To Share And Print Their Pictures On The Go Like Never Before

London, 14 February.  Eastman Kodak Company and T-Mobile, one of the world’s leading mobile telecommunications companies, today announced a Pan-European partnership to provide a co-branded service enabling online picture sharing to T-Mobile customers in 3 European countries. With an April 2005 launch in the UK, Germany and Austria, the T-Mobile/Kodak Co-Branded Service will be an easy to use method for customers to upload, organize and store multimedia content from their mobile phone or via the internet as well as share and print images taken with their camera phone. Launches in The Netherlands and the Czech Republic will follow later in the year.

The first to market on a Pan-European scale, the T-Mobile/Kodak offering will reach out to the growing number of T-Mobile camera phone customers who will benefit from an enhanced picture sharing experience.  In effect, the new offering will maximise the potential of camera phone use by enabling users to order prints of their photos as well as organise and store them.  Users will even be able to store videos taken with their camera phone.  Both the web and wap site will be specially created for T-Mobile subscribers who will be able to register for the service through t-zones on their phone or on their PC.

“A part of our digital strategy, Kodak Mobile Service is an innovative service that provides camera-phone users with an easy to use photo service that brings images to life, quickly, and with the quality people have come to expect from Kodak,” commented George Kapetanakis, Global Account Manager for Kodak Mobile Service. “This agreement with T-Mobile will allow customers all over Europe to benefit from the service and our expertise in digital imaging. As high quality camera phones are spreading, this partnership presents a great potential both for us and T-mobile.”

“We are pleased to offer our customers the latest in mobile imaging services which unleashes the full capabilities of camera phones.  On top of the communication benefits of MMS picture messaging, our camera phone customers can now print and store their pictures as quickly and easily as they would with a digital camera.” stated Tony Kypreos, Vice President, International Messaging. “This partnership is an important component of our mobile imaging strategy to maximize the real emotional and lifestyle benefits of camera phone usage to our end consumers.”

Kodak has created a handset application designed to quickly, easily and intuitively enable people to upload pictures and videos from camera phones to private albums stored on the Web. The new software is downloadable on selected Symbian based camera phones from the Kodak/T-Mobile local sites.

This partnership expands upon the agreement recently signed between Kodak and T-Mobile in the US, which provides KODAK EASYSHARE-ONE digital camera owners with integrated Wi-Fi access to T-Mobile HotSpot service.
