Canon are showcasing a 120 megapixel EOS DSLR camera at Photokina 2016. The new concept model is actually a current Canon EOS 5DS body with a 120 megapixel sensor inside, instead of the normal 50 megapixel sensor, paied with a standard EF 24-70mm f/2.8 lens. In an impressive macro demo setup, fine detail from a tiny portion of the scene was replayed on a computer monitor, making things visible that weren't apparent to the naked eye. No mention was made of how fast the continuous shooting rate is though!
