2010 Kodak Wedding and Portrait Awards Winners Announced

The Master Photographers Association has announced the two winners of the 2010 Kodak Wedding and Portrait Awards. Lindsey Brooker scooped the title of “Kodak Portrait Photographer of the Year”, while John Parris has been named Kodak Wedding Photographer of the Year. The subject of each winning photograph receives £1,000 and a Kodak digital camera, and the winning photographers are presented with a trophy and certificate to display in their studios.

MPA unveil Kodak winners

The Master Photographers Association (MPA), has announced the two winners of the 2010 Kodak Wedding and Portrait Awards.

The Kodak Portrait Photographer of the Year is Lindsey Brooker who works for well known photographer Ray Lowe. John Parris has been named Kodak Wedding Photographer of the Year; John runs Parris Photography in Hawick in the Scottish Borders.

The awards are run by the MPA and are supported Kodak Professional and the winners were announced at the recent Master Photography Awards in Birmingham. The subject of each winning photograph receives £1,000 and a Kodak digital camera, and the winning photographers are presented with a trophy and certificate to display in their studios.

The Kodak Awards are also a major fundraiser for the MPA’s adopted charity, the PACE Centre in Aylesbury (www.thepacecentre.org). Each entry carries a £1 charge and all fees are donated straight to PACE. Says Colin Buck, MPA chief executive: “The MPA and Kodak have a long association with PACE and I’m proud to be able to help them raise funds for their amazing work with children with physical disabilities, such as cerebral palsy”
