SANDISK DOUBLES THE CAPACITY AND STRENGTHENS ITS CRUZER TITANIUM LINE WITH LIQUIDMETAL’S ADVANCED TITANIUM ALLOY

2-Gigabyte SanDisk Cruzer Titanium Offers Extraordinary Mechanical Strength, Style and Encryption Software to Safeguard Important Data

HANNOVER, GERMANY, MARCH 10, 2005 – SanDisk® Corporation (NASDAQ:SNDK) today announced the addition of a 2-gigabyte (GB)* Cruzer® Titanium to its award-winning line of portable flash drives. Cruzer Titanium is a sleek, USB 2.0 hi-speed flash storage drive that is virtually indestructible and designed to physically protect the valuable data of business and power users. The announcement was made at the annual CeBIT Show where SanDisk is demonstrating products in Hall 1, Stand 4E6.

Cruzer Titanium will be manufactured using an advanced Titanium alloy from Liquidmetal® Technologies, commonly used for aerospace, medical devices, sporting goods and other applications that require lightweight strength and the ability to withstand extremes of temperature. This unique alloy is approximately 2.5 times the strength of titanium.** . Its superior strength, hardness, high corrosion and wear resistance make it ideal for the Cruzer Titanium.

Cruzer Titanium is preloaded with the full versions of value-added portable software programs. These include CruzerLock™ 2, a data file encryption program; CruzerSync™, which synchronizes with Outlook data; and Cruzer PocketCache™, which allows for file backups with minimal memory consumption.

“Consumers are demanding higher capacities to store a diverse range of files and materials including high-resolution digital photos, digital music, video clips, presentations and other data that require large capacities,” said Mike Morganstern, Cruzer product marketing manager at SanDisk. “The 2GB Cruzer Titanium meets these capacity requirements and combines the highest levels of data protection with an award-winning industrial design.”

The 2GB Cruzer Titanium is expected to ship in April with a suggested retail price of $249.99. The 512MB* and 1GB versions are currently available with suggested prices of $84.99 and $169.99.

Cruzer Titanium is “plug and play” with PCs and the Macintosh due to USB Mass Storage Class (MSC) compliance when used with Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows ME, Mac OS 10.1.2+ and Mac OS 9.2.1+. A driver can be downloaded for Windows 98SE support.

SanDisk is the original inventor of flash storage cards and is the world’s largest supplier of flash data storage card products using its patented, high-density flash memory and controller technology.
