Last year’s winner, Emily Addis, of Sutton Coldfield said: ‘‘Anyone and everyone who loves photography should enter the competition, even if you don’t have tonnes of confidence or experience. The judges want to see your passion and creativity - life begins at the edge of your comfort zone!  With the help of the training, kit and experiences that the competition provided me with I really feel that I’ve grown as a photographer over the past 12 months. The competition really has changed my life, I am now proud to call myself a professional photographer!”

Entrants to the 2018 competition should submit a 60 second video explaining why they think they should win this year’s competition, along with three of their best images demonstrating their creativity and passion for photography. The deadline for entries is 4 March 2018 – a shortlist of 10 entrants will then be invited to take part in four additional challenges, with the penultimate challenge set to take place on the Live Stage at The Photography Show on Tuesday, 20 March at 14:00.
