Blurb, in association with The Guardian and Flickr, has published “A Message for Obama”, a commemorative book following a collaborative photo project which aimed to capture the many and diverse personal reactions to the election of President Obama.
Inspired by Barack Obama’s groundbreaking use of the internet to engage with citizens during his presidential campaign, guardian.co.uk asked internet users to share their personal messages to Obama online. Following his historic election win, what did people want to say to him - a greeting; a warning; some advice? All people had to do to participate was take a photograph, and post it on photo-sharing site Flickr.
The hopes, fears, passion and creativity of contributors from all ages, political, social and economic backgrounds, and all corners of the world are compiled in “A Message for Obama”.
