Adam Duckworth Announces Off-Camera Flash Workshops

UK photographer Adam Duckworth is launching a series of one-day workshops on off-camera flash work. Held on location around The Flash Centre in London and Birmingham, the course is suitable from beginners to more advanced photographers who want to control and sculpt light the way a professional does. In these workshops, Adam will demonstrate editorial-style lighting for portraits, lifestyle and fashion. Delegates will also get to put into practice what they have learned by shooting the models - including FHM’s High Street Honeys finalist Katie Green - in a variety of set-ups. Price is £99 and the dates are November 11 and December 9 in London and November 17 and December 7 in Birmingham.

Few places left at off-camera flash workshop
Photograph former Wonderbra model Katie Green and learn about dramatic lighting, at a series of one-day courses in London and Birmingham that will make a huge difference to your photography!
There are just a few places remaining on the one-day lighting workshops run by award-winning pro photographer Adam Duckworth who reveals the very latest methods of photographic lighting and just how easy you can do it.
Held on location around The Flash Centre in London and Birmingham, the course is suitable from beginners to more advanced photographers who want to control and sculpt light to create truly stunning photographs.
And you’ll get to photograph top model Katie Green, an internationally-known model who was a finalist in FHM’s High Street Honeys competition and a former Wonderbra model. And you’ll get to use the photos in your portfolio or website.
Whether you aim to break into magazine photography, want to give your social portraits a more fashiony edge, give your wedding shots a new dimension or just want to learn some new techniques, you’ll have a rewarding day.
Adam is a huge user of “Strobist”-style off-camera flash using small, portable flashguns, and you’ll learn how simple it is to create amazing and dramatic pictures easily and relatively inexpensively.
You’ll also get to use a variety of top-quality Elinchrom Quadra location lighting, and you’re guaranteed to pick up some tips on making your portraits that little bit different.
In these workshops, Adam will demonstrate editorial-style lighting for portraits, lifestyle and fashion. Delegates will also get to put into practice what they have learned by shooting the models in a variety of set-ups.
All you need is camera, lens and memory card and a desire to learn and take some great pictures. Lunch and drinks are included, too. The flash kit is all provided, though you can bring your own. Numbers are strictly limited to eight photographers so you’ll get time to shoot Katie how you want.
The workshops kick off at 10am with a short explanation of lighting and the kit before some classic lighting set-ups are demonstrated, so you can photograph our professional model.
Then it’s on to more dramatic lighting using one, two or more lights to create amazing results before a 4pm finish. If you want to learn “Strobist” techniques, it’s unmissable! And suitable for beginners right through to more advanced photographers. We use a variety of locations around the Flash Centre base near Russell Square in Bloomsbury, central London and in Birmingham so you’ll never run out of brilliant locations.
It’s informal, fun and you’ll pick up some of the latest techniques. Price is £99 and the dates are November 11 and December 9 in London and November 17 and December 7 in Birmingham.
