Adobe Live Returns for 2005
Adobe UK Press Release
STOCKLEY PARK, UK. — April 08 2005 — Adobe® Systems today announced the return of Adobe Live for 2005. Building on the success of last year’s event, Adobe Live will be even bigger and better than before, with a larger exhibition area plus a wider variety of seminars including demonstrations of the brand new Adobe Creative Suite 2. Once again, the event is free to attend and is taking place on May 26th and 27th at the Business Design Centre, Islington.
Adobe Live is designed to help creative professionals, from all areas of industry, get the most out of Adobe software. Three key themes take precedence this year: Digital Imaging, Publishing, Design and Advertising – so if you’re in print or web design, advertising or photography – make sure you don’t miss out!
Watch demonstrations and learn tips’n’tricks for the new full versions of software integrated in Adobe Creative Suite 2 including: Adobe Photoshop® CS2, Adobe InDesign® CS2, Adobe Illustrator® CS2 and Adobe GoLive® CS2. Find out about the changes to the all-new Adobe Version Cue® CS2 and be introduced to a new suite component, Adobe Bridge – the visual file browser that acts as a dashboard for productivity and creativity across all Adobe Creative Suite 2 applications. In addition see how you can get easy access to Adobe’s new stock photography service, Adobe Stock Photos, the one stop shop for high-quality, royalty free images from multiple stock photo agencies.
On the first day, Adobe Live includes a 90-minute keynote presentation on, ‘the importance of design’, addressing the crucial part design plays in differentiating communications in this cluttered world and a 60-minute presentation on, ‘the future of digital imaging’ addressing the ‘digital darkroom’, how technology has changed working practices and how Adobe is helping the digital revolution with standards like DNG.
In addition, there will be ‘What’s New’ sessions and ‘New Skills’ workshops on products included in the Adobe Creative Suite 2 and the Adobe Video Collection®, so people can learn from the experts on how to get the most out of today’s tools. There will also be ‘New Thinking’ industry-led sessions which showcase how top professionals are realizing their creative vision through the use of technology.
The exhibition area features industry partners – such as Apple, Canon, Dell, Epson, HP and JPY –third-party developers and systems integrators. With training providers and leading value added resellers also present, it really is the place to evaluate the wider world of complimentary hardware, software and services.
“Adobe Live was such a success last year – we wanted to continue it in 2005. We have worked hard to build a programme that encompasses everyone’s needs – whether they are in print or web design, advertising or photography – we have a workshop or presentation that will be interesting and useful. Following the launch of Creative Suite 2, it’s an ideal opportunity for visitors to see the new products for themselves” - said Eric McCashey, Marketing Manager for Creative Customers, Adobe Systems.
Adobe Live will be held in the Conference Centre at the Business Design Centre, Islington, London. Other Adobe Live events will take place in Belgium, the Netherlands, France and Germany during May.
