INTRODUCING MONO CHROMA MAGAZINE
The End of Adore Noir Magazine Marks A New Beginning
2011 saw the introduction of a highly anticipated e-magazine which showcased black and white photography exclusively. Adore Noir magazine was launched right on the cusp of the very first iPad, it was the only purely black and white fine art photography e-magazine available in the app store and for download as a PDF.
Fast forward to July 2018 and a new e-magazine called Mono Chroma has launched. When asked about the new magazine and why it spelled the end of the highly successful magazine Adore Noir, Editor and Publisher Chris Kovacs goes on to say, “After eight wonderful years of showcasing many talented artists, (264 to be exact), I felt it was time to steer the ship in a new direction. Don’t get me wrong, I love black and white photography, and always will, it’s just that things change, they evolve, new beginnings arise. Over the years I have discovered many great artists working in many different mediums, it inspired me, it inspired my own artworks, and I want to be able to share that inspiration with others. Mono Chroma will feature both black and white photography as well as color, plus other processes too, and I don’t just mean alternative processes, I’m talking about things like mixed media works that incorporate photography, things like that.”
Mono Chroma magazine will be released bimonthly. The first issue of Mono Chroma magazine features six artists with works ranging from mixed media collage to surreal art in color and photojournalism in black-and-white. Mono Chroma is available for download from their website at: www.monochromamagazine.com, and is currently available in PDF format.
