The ‘Beauty Portraits Un-Touched’ exhibition combines female beauty with an exploration of the models’ real emotions and thoughts. ‘Beauty Portraits Un-Touched’ is the first solo exhibition by Rachell Smith and forms part of an on-going project, with the aim to publish a book in the near future. ‘Beauty Portraits Un-Touched’ Exhibition by Rachell Smith

LONDON, UK Professional photographic printing lab and exhibition space, theprintspace is proud to present the ‘Beauty Portraits Un-Touched’ exhibition by Rachell Smith.

Rachell presents 20 previously unseen images from her archive featuring models and actresses. The exhibition celebrates beauty before any post-production or retouching, and explores the traditions of portraiture. Simple yet striking, Rachell has used a consistent photographic set up that is instantaneous and complementary towards the subject.

Rachell’s ‘Beauty Portraits Un-touched’ exhibition combines female beauty with an exploration of the models’ real emotions and thoughts. Adopting black and white with a square crop, Rachell creates a mysterious sense of time and place. The final selection was printed without any manipulation and are unchanged, unmodified or affected.

‘Beauty Portraits Un-Touched’ is the first solo exhibition by Rachell Smith and forms part of an on-going project, with the aim to publish a book in the near future.

The exhibition will run from Thursday 23rd August until Thursday 13th September, at theprintspace gallery on 74 Kingsland Road, London, E2 8DL. The opening night will be on Thursday, 23rd August from 7pm-9.30pm. Admission is free and refreshments will be provided!
