TAIPEI, TAIWAN, 11 December, 2006 - The new BenQ X710 digital camera features an ultra-slim body with a large 3-inch display. BenQ today announces the launch of the BenQ X710, featuring a large 3-inch LTPS LCD display, a 7.2-megapixel CCD imager, a smc Pentax (Super Multi-Coating) lens with 3x optical zoom and supports up to ISO4000 in movie recording mode. The slender X710 arrives with an ultra-slim body in an eye-catching aluminum casing and is the slimmest camera that features a 3-inch high resolution display to date, offering users instant photo sharing at any viewing angle.

To minimize image blur, the BenQ X710 incorporates the S.S.F. (super shake-free) system of which includes a high light sensitivity portrait mode of ISO1200 to facilitate shooting when capturing fast moving objects in poor lighting conditions and a shake-free mode to compensate for handshakes when taking pictures.

The X710 boasts 6 different shooting modes, including manual mode, S.S.F. (Super Shake-Free) mode, portrait mode and night scene mode, providing users quick setting adjustments with a variety of shooting options. The camera includes the PictBridge function for direct photo printing via a compatible printer and supports SD memory card of up to 2G.
