Best4reviews is the brainchild of Gavin Stoker, Doug Harman and Mike O’Connell, regular respected contributors to a wide range of consumer publications both online and in print.

Both Best4Reviews’ owners and editors, the trio, who also run copywriting and design agency US3 Media, are hoping to build on the existing audience for their words of wisdom and expertise in the field.

“We were getting asked more and more to contribute considered opinion and critique to online publications, so it was a natural step to just say ‘why don’t we set something up ourselves’”, says Best4Reviews’ Stoker. “Our first inclination was to set up an online magazine, but the Internet is a different beast, and we wanted very much to play to its strengths.”

Harman agrees. “We want to create a community feel – the Holy Grail for print magazines but often something they struggle to achieve. That instant connection with an audience is what the Internet does best, and, we believe, the best way for us to achieve this with our writing is via best4reviews.com. To get discussion going, visitors can leave comments and their own reviews directly beneath our own.”

Although both Harman and Stoker’s most recent involvement has been with the photographic press and camera industry, with O’Connell on board the trio hopes to be able to not only satisfy the thirst for advice and knowledge within that demanding market – but additionally within the wider sphere of technology and consumer goods.

“If you can buy it, then we want to review it,” nods O’Connell. “The Internet is now the first and at times only port of call for people wanting advice on what they should buy, to find out whether the product does what it claims, or whether it’s worth the asking price. There’s so much choice available to people, we wanted to make life easier and provide a ‘big hit’ of leading product advice under the one umbrella. That umbrella is best4reviews.com’
