Press Release

Two new exclusive travel photography tours for 2011 have just been launched by Steve Davey and Better Travel Photography.

Impressions of Laos & Cambodia

Departs Bangkok 6 April 2011 • 15 days • £1645 ex. flights.
Laos and Cambodia are two of the most atmospheric and photogenic countries in South East Asia, and this tour is a fantastic way to explore the best of what they have to offer, whilst learning about the art of travel photography with a professional travel photographer. Starting in Bangkok, we head to Vientiane, the sleepy capital of Laos, before driving north to the stunning scenery of Vang Vieng and the enigmatic Plain of Jars. We arrive in the historic town of Luang Prabang for the Lao New Year festivities: a time of processions, religious rituals and water fights! After a few days enjoying the festivities and exploring what must be the best preserved town in Asia, we fly to Siem Reap in Cambodia (included flight) to explore the incomparable ruins of Angkor Wat. We have plenty of time here to explore many of the outlying sites in the complex before the tour finishes. More information on:  http://www.bettertravelphotography.com/phototours/laos

A unique opportunity to improve your travel photography, whilst exploring the highlights of the Ladakh in the company of a professional travel photographer. This travel photography tour starts in Delhi, before flying up to Leh the incredible high altitude capital of Ladakh. For the next week, we visit an eclectic mix of fertile valleys, mountains and ancient monasteries, including those at Hemis and Lamayuru. Our visit is timed to see Cham Dancing at the Korzok Gustor festival, at the remote Tso Moriri Lake. We will stay for two days to soak up the atmosphere and explore the hauntingly beautiful scenery around the lake. We also drive the amazing Leh-Manali Highway, one of the highest motorable roads in the world, until we reach Manali. This atmospheric town lies amidst stunning alpine scenery. Although a long and adventurous drive, the Highway is one of the highlights of this trip, cutting across harsh landscapes and crossing a number of often snow-capped passes.
