Calumet UK has announced a range of workshops for the month of June. All seminars and workshops are individually priced and students can take advantage of a discounted rate. John Gallo will be hosting a 2-part event entitled "Mastering Street Photography - Photojournalism as an Art Form" on 11-12 June in Bristol. Victor Aberdeen will hold free colour management workshops in Calumet Photographic's London, Birmingham, Manchester and Bristol stores. Jon Gray will lead a creattive Hollywood beauty and fashion lighting masterclass on the 13th, at Calumet London. LEARN PHOTOGRAPHY SKILLS WITH CALUMET ACADEMY

Leading photography retailer, Calumet Photographic, has an exciting line up of seminars and workshops available from its Academy for 2015.

The Calumet Academy offers a comprehensive range of events on an ongoing basis. Dedicated to helping aspiring photographers, Calumet Academy hosts tutorials for beginners as well as more advanced training for those wanting to hone their skills.  It also provides specialised workshops for photographers with specific interests, such as wildlife and portraiture, and welcomes industry professionals on a regular basis.

Part One looks at the work of Bresson, Frank, Meyerowitz, Smith and many others as an inspiring source and will provide guidance and thoughtful advice to perform at a professional level when photographing out on the streets of any city around the world.

Part Two will put to use the concepts discussed during Part One with practical examples of how to achieve remarkable results when photographing on the city streets.

This is an opportunity to get down to the nitty gritty of colour management, giving a clear understanding of delivering professional, colour accurate photography.

Participants will learn how to create different styles of lighting for beauty and editorial fashion images in a hands on workshop with a professional model, including posing techniques, lenses, shutter speeds, lighting modifiers and editing.

Art Nude Photography Workshop, with Rory Lewis (£149) –

Friday 19 June, 10:00 – 16:00 (Birmingham)

Participants will work with a published artistic nude model to build a fine art nude photography portfolio, learning studio flash lighting and developing an understanding of studio technique.
