Nevercenter’s CameraBag, a photo filter app for the iPhone, has come to the iPad and is proving popular once again. Currently one of the top five apps in the Photography section and one of the top 100 of all paid iPhone apps in the App Store, CameraBag has filters that “instantly emulate photography’s most beloved and iconic cameras, films, and processing techniques”. At any point users can double-tap to “Vary” the current filter, offering a slightly different take on that effect for infinite variations. Besides the new Vary button, CameraBag for iPad introduces other features such as the ability to pick and choose between borders and aspect ratios for each filter. High resolution photos are also supported.

REDESIGNED CAMERABAG PHOTO EDITOR AMONG TOP IPAD APPS

April 9, 2010—Nevercenter’s CameraBag, the most successful photo filter app of all time on the iPhone, has come to the iPad and is proving popular once again. The redesigned and expanded CameraBag for iPad is currently one of the top five apps in the Photography section, is featured in Apple’s “What’s Hot” section, and is among the top 100 of all paid iPad apps in the App Store.

“CameraBag is a natural fit for the increased resolution and power of the iPad, and we were excited to have something specially designed available at launch,” said Tom Plewe, President of Nevercenter and the lead programmer and designer on the project. “These new features, particularly the Vary button, really give CameraBag the perfect balance between depth and ease of use. You can make infinite variations of a given photo, but all you have to do is swipe and double tap.”

CameraBag’s filters are a love letter to the analog era. They instantly emulate photography’s most beloved and iconic cameras, film, and processing techniques. This innovative approach to photo processing skips hours of work and instead puts the user in the role of a photography editor, flipping through a series of polished, print-ready treatments and choosing the best one. At any point users can double-tap to “Vary” the current filter, offering a slightly different take on that effect for infinite variations.

“We think Windows users, like Mac and iPhone users, will really respond to CameraBag’s streamlined approach,” said Thomas Plewe, Nevercenter President. “Most of our users already have a complex editor such as Photoshop*, but they gravitate to CameraBag for its quick, professional results. CameraBag does all the hard work while still giving users artistic control.”

Besides the new Vary button, CameraBag for iPad introduces other features such as the ability to pick and choose between borders and aspect ratios for each filter. High resolution photos are supported, and the redesigned interface maintains CameraBag’s fun and simplicity while giving users access to more advanced features previously only seen in CameraBag Desktop for Mac and PC.

COMPANY INFORMATION: Nevercenter, founded in 2003, produces software for the PC, Mac, iPhone and iPad. Prominent titles include Silo, a desktop 3D modeling application and CameraBag, a top-rated photo-filtering app for iPhone, iPad, Mac and PC.
