The CAMS Pro is a new camera strap system that makes it more comfortable to shoot with a vertical grip on a DSLR and telephoto lenses. The CAMS Pro line is aimed at the Event, Sport, and enthusiast photographer with the goal of providing the most comfortable and convenient way to carry, shoot, and mount a Pro bodied or gripped camera and telephoto lens. Early bird pricing is available with the standard pricing for a Pro Sling Strap and Camera Plate set at $95, the upgrade kit at $60, and the Pro Lens Plate at $45.

Philadelphia-area product designers and photographers Joe Jackson and Andrew Johnson have teamed up to create the Carry and Mount SystemTM and are currently running a Kickstarter campaign to generate funding. Their initial product offering, the CAMS Pro line, consists of an ergonomic and Arca-style clamp compatible camera plate, designed for use on the vertical shooting grip of full size DSLRs, a quick-disconnect sling strap, and a contoured lens plate, also Arca-style clamp compatible, for use on many common telephoto lens tripod collars. The CAMS Pro line is aimed at the Event, Sport, and enthusiast photographer with the goal of providing the most comfortable and convenient way to carry, shoot, and mount a Pro bodied or gripped camera and telephoto lens.

The Pro Sling Strap and Camera Plate combine to offer vertical grip-equipped camera owners an alternative to the bulky, protruding strap connections common with most sling strap designs. The low profile, precision forged aluminum camera plate fits comfortably under the shooting hand and places the strap connection out of the way. Textured rubber grips and a contoured surface make the vertical grip more comfortable than ever to use. An additional ¼”-20 thread insert makes monopod and accessory attachment convenient and easy. The reinforced neoprene sling strap lightens heavy loads and has a distinctive, yet subtle, appearance.

Current sling strap users may purchase just the camera plate and quick disconnect fastener as an upgrade to their existing hardware.

The Pro Lens Plate shares the same design philosophy as its bigger brother, offering a comfortable support surface for telephoto lenses while concurrently allowing quick connection to Arca-style clamps plus monopods or other ¼”-20 threaded accessories.
