Canon has released a firmware update for eleven Pixma printers. The new version adds a security option to the Remote UI menu to set an administrator password in order to protect your printer settings from being changed by unauthorised people. The company recommends that you install the update and set up a password if your printer is connected to a network. The affected models include the Pixma MG7120, MG6420, MG5520, MG5522, MG3520, MG3522, MX532, MX472, MX479, iX6820 and iP8720 (pictured).
