Canon launches two new fully automatic compact cameras – Sure Shot 115u II Date and Sure Shot 90u II Date

Canon, leader in photographic and imaging technology, continues its commitment towards a complete range of cameras for all consumers with the release of two compact 35mm cameras – the Sure Shot 115u II Date and Sure Shot 90u II Date.  The compact and lightweight Sure Shot 115u II Date and Sure Shot 90u II Date feature high quality Canon lenses with 3x and 2.4x zooms, respectively. With 3 point AiAF, five picture modes to choose from and other fully automatic features, these easy to use cameras ensure users will find it simple to take brilliant shots.

Precision optics
Benefiting from Canon’s 60-year heritage in precision optics and featuring aspherical lens technology, the Sure Shot 115u II Date and Sure Shot 90u II Date are capable of focusing at just 45cm from the subject. The Sure Shot 90u II Date has a focal length of 38-90mm, and a zoom of 2.4x, while the Sure Shot 115u II Date has a 3x zoom and a focal length of 38-115mm. Both of the cameras feature passive 3 point AiAF that ensures sharp focused images even when the subject is off centre.

Multi-purpose
Designed to cover a wide range of shooting opportunities, each camera features five picture modes for the user to select from: Action (for continuous in-focus shooting of moving subjects), Night Portrait (flash for subject and slow shutter speed for background), Portrait, Close-up, and fast response RT (Real-Time). The Canon zoom flash links to the zoom lens, so that the light from the flash can be focused more intensely and maintain good illumination of the subject.

With real image viewfinders, the Sure Shot 115u II Date and Sure Shot 90u II Date are remarkably light for cameras of their quality and zoom capabilities. At 195g and 185g, the Sure Shot 115u II Date and Sure Shot 90u II Date are multi-purpose compact cameras that can be taken anywhere.
