CW-E60 and CW-K85 Give Home-Made CDs and DVDs A Professional Look
DOVER, NJ, August 1, 2006 – Casio, Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of Casio Computer Co., Ltd. announced today the release of two new disc title printers, the CW-E60 and CW-K85. The CW-E60 and CW-K85 provide a professional touch to CDs and DVDs for digital music, video, images and data. Organizing your business, vacation photographs and favorite music collections is now affordable and easier than ever. Throw out those markers because Casio has made it simple to label CDs and DVDs without ever removing a cap. The CW-E60 will be available at retail in August for the suggest retail price of $59.99. The CW-K85 will be available in September for the suggested retail price of $79.99.
The CW-E60 directly prints on the disc and features a USB connection for fast hook-up to your PC. An on-screen preview image shows exactly what will be printed on the disc. The CW-E60 is a thermal printer with a print area measuring 5/8” x 2 15/16” and is powered by 8 “AA” size batteries or an AC adaptor. The complete package includes: AC adapter, USB cable, software, black ink ribbon, template and sample CD-R for testing. There are also many different tape colors to choose from.
The CW-K85 features a computer-like keyboard for stand alone operation. A USB cable is also included for easy hook-up to a PC. The PC software includes five fonts, 650 symbols, step-by-step help and numerous templates. The printer can display 12 characters x 1 line data input and illustrates the CD-R, DVD layout. Any True type fonts are available via bundled software.
The print format for the CW-K85 consists of 18 alpha-numeric formats and four graphic formats that you can select from. The CW-K85 is a thermal printer with a print area measuring 5/8” x 2 15/16.” You can print up to 16 lines on a standard CD-R. The disc-title printer is powered by 8 “AA” size batteries or an AC adaptor. The complete package includes: USB cable, software, black ink ribbon, template, sample CD-R and batteries. As with the CW-E60, there are also many different tape colors to choose from.
