Casio Releases EXILIM Cameras with New Advanced Self-portrait Functionality

Skin Brightening Mode and Self-portrait Shutter Button on Swiveling Frame for More Beautiful, Even Easier Photography

TOKYO, June 19, 2013 — Casio Computer Co., Ltd. announced today the release of its latest amazing self-portrait gear, the two new EXILIM digital cameras, EX-TR15 and EX-TR10. These cameras are equipped with Skin Brightening Mode for even more beautiful photos of people and are designed to make taking self-portraits easier than ever before by delivering a whole new shooting experience.

Casio released the EXILIM TR Series in 2011. The cameras in this series, equipped with 360° rotating frame and a 270° rotating display, are optimized for self-portraits. They also have a Make-up Mode for taking beautiful face shots. These features have made this series very popular among young ladies.

The new EX-TR15 and EX-TR10 are designed to look beautiful from any angle. They also add a new function called Skin Brightening Mode to Make-up Mode, which makes skin look even more clear and beautiful. Further, these cameras are designed to make taking self-portraits easier than ever before. This was accomplished by adding a self-portrait shutter button to the frame, which makes it simple to press while holding the camera frame with one hand. Also, the EX-TR15 comes with Wireless LAN, enabling users to control the camera remotely using a smartphone. This makes it possible for users to angle the camera any way they like, including side angle, front angle, and back shots, and then take a photo at the timing and pose they desire. Both models display photos very vividly with 920K pixel displays.

Make-up Mode for Beautiful, Clear Skin

Make-up Mode now offers two options: Natural Mode and the new Skin Brightening Mode, which produces a smooth, luminous skin appearance. Each mode provides 12 selectable make-up levels for the desired skin appearance.

More Flexibility in Taking Self-portraits

With the new self-portrait shutter button on the frame, it has never been easier to take a self-portrait. In addition, the EX-TR15 comes with Wireless LAN, enabling remote viewing and control of the camera from a smartphone. This makes it possible for users to angle the camera any way they like, including angle and back shots, and then take a photo at the timing and pose they desire.

Casio EXILIM Remote application is required to control the camera from a smartphone. This application will be made available for download from the App Store for iPhone users and from Google Play for Android users. EXILIM Remote will be released at the same time as the EX-TR15.
