CASIO INTRODUCES THE CW-L300 DISC TITLE PRINTER – WORLD’S FIRST TO PRINT ON BOTH CD/DVDs AND LABELS

LAS VEGAS, NV, January 6, 2005 – Casio, Inc., in conjunction with its parent company, Casio Computer Co., Ltd., Tokyo, Japan, announced at the 2005 CES International Show that opened in Las Vegas today, the introduction of the CW-L300 Disc Title Printer, the first of its kind to print both direct to CD and DVD Discs as well as to individual labels.  The easy-to-use CW-L300 combines Casio’s leading label printer technology with its innovative disc printer capability in one does-it-all device.  The CW-L300 will be on display at Casio’s booth # 9808. 

The CW-L300 is the perfect tool for small business or home office users who want professional applications for their filing and recording systems.  This is a must-have printer for efficiency management control.  It’s also perfect for titling CDs and DVDs with digital music, images, video, or data.  Organizing your business, digital photography and entertainment is now at the tip of your fingers, and couldn’t be easier.

The CW-L300 features a QWERTY keyboard for stand-alone operation as well as a USB connection for easy hook-up to a PC.  Casio’s advanced Disc Title Printer prints directly on your CDs or DVDs without compromising the integrity of the discs, and you can also create tape labels for files and folders.  Priced at $149.99, the CW-L300 will be available in March 2005.

The PC software includes five fonts, 4000 characters, 650 built-in characters, and is printable in 14 languages.  The CW-L300 is a thermal printer with a print resolution of 200dpi/128 dot.  The label printer prints up to 8 lines and a maximum of 225 entry characters.  The disc printer also prints up to 8 lines but can print a maximum of 592 entry characters. A compact design, the CW-L300 weighs only 3.09 lbs. without battery. 

The complete package includes: AC Adaptor (AD-21055), Ink ribbon cassette for disc print (TR-18BK), Tape Cartridge for label print (XR-18WE), Application CD-ROM, Sample CD-R, User Documentation in English and Spanish, USB Cable, and one Cartridge Adapter.
