“Paper Moments” - Photo Competition launched
The European paper industry association - CEPI - is offering individuals with a keen interest in photography the chance to win prizes at their photo competition under the theme “Paper Moments” organised as part of CEPI’s 20th anniversary celebrations. Throughout times, paper has been all around us, working for us, delivering to us and making our lives easier. It is so much a part of our daily lives that we take it for granted and rarely stop to think about it Yet it communicates symbols, engages our senses, brings cleanliness, comfort and safety and accompanies our every moment. Capture one of these moments and you might win a prize!
Entries will be judged by a selected panel of high-profile judges who will consider a range of factors including composition, technical ability, originality, interpretation of the brief and the practical use of the photographs. The judges will select the winners by mid June 2012. The winners will be announced on the competition webpage.
1st place winner will win 1,500 euros.
2nd place winner will win 750 euros.
3rd place winner will win 500 euros.
Depending on the quality of the entries, some photos could receive honorable mention. The winners’ entries will be exhibited during the European Paper Week which will take place in Brussels 13-15 November. Winners will be notified in June and will be invited to the awards ceremony, which will take place on 14 November. Winning entries will also appear in the Pulp & Paper International magazine along with an article or an interview.
