Charlie Waite to give Landscape seminar at Calumet London

World famous landscape photographer Charlie Waite, has confirmed an exclusive evening seminar at Calumet’s Drummond Street store, on Tuesday 22nd February, starting at 5pm.

The seminar will cover two main topics - ‘Influences’, and also Charlie’s fully illustrated talk on photography using a compact camera – ‘Small on Landscape’.

In his highly stimulating talk ‘Influences’, Charlie explores where the impulse may lie behind the images that we feel compelled to make. He asks to what extent do photographers feel our work is shaped by the many images that we see along the way as we travel through our lives?

In his ‘Small on Landscapes’ talk, Charlie sings the praises of his new found friend, the compact camera:

‘The compact camera has brought the photographer back into direct and instant involvement with something that otherwise might have evaporated in front of their very eyes. The high end compact camera is no longer to be thought of as non-serious.’

Charlie Waite is the founder of Light & Land, the UK’s leading landscape photography training company which runs tours and workshops from one day, to several weeks, across the UK and overseas.  Courses cater for all levels of photographers with a new series of ‘Intro’ workshops aimed and those just starting to explore photography.
