With features from behind the lens and on the road with world-renowned landscape and travel photographer David Noton as well as a wealth of other contributors, it combines stunning photography of the most spectacular locations on earth with technical features, video tutorials, humorous anecdotes, travel notes, a member’s gallery and industry news. The personable stories behind the photos make it an entertaining, informative and inspirational monthly read, as well as an invaluable information resource for all who love landscapes, travel and photography.
In this month’s edition, David continues his brand new series Seeing the Light with a fascinating exploration of daylight, which all begins on the lawn of the White House! He also provides his regular essential Compositional Tutorial: this time exploring the importance of the Decisive Moment to ensure that you’re fully prepared for that perfect window of opportunity, when all the elements of a composition come together.
For Behind the Lens, we join David for the final leg of his trip to Myanmar (Burma) as he travels to Inle Lake, working on and around the lake with various endearing Burmese models. And for Stepping Back, David revisits the momentous switch to digital whilst shooting the stunning vistas of the Northumbrian coastline.
Wildlife photographer Ben Hall pens the Guest Feature, revealing the long hours of patience and skill required to capture his beautiful animal portraits. And this month we have a particular treat in store in the form of two instructional videos from David: one on colour balance, and the other – the first in the series – on Photoshop techniques.
