Every month we publish an issue of our unique Chasing the Light eZine, exclusively for our worldwide following of f11 members - sign up for a free trial (join here). With features from behind the lens and on the road with world-renowned landscape and travel photographer David Noton as well as a wealth of other contributors, it combines stunning photography of the most spectacular locations on earth with technical features, video tutorials and video blogs, humorous anecdotes, travel notes, a member's gallery and industry news. The personable stories behind the photos make it an entertaining, informative and inspirational monthly read, as well as an invaluable information resource for all who love landscapes, travel and photography.

This month we have a special treat in store for readers: David takes us to the Yukon, reliving in this month’s Behind the Lens article the first six days of the special trip he and Wendy made to this location in September; there is also an accompanying Video Blog for your viewing pleasure. To tie up this Yukon special, in How it’s Done David talks us through his approach to and method of shooting the stunning Aurora Borealis at Pine Lake. In this month’s installment of his Seeing the Light series, David considers those few occasions when it is worth the landscape photographer forgoing a sneaky siesta to capture a toplit shot. And in for Stepping Back, he whizzes us back to 1984 when he shot the Marines as part of his photography course with stunning results.

From other contributors PR specialist Susie Hallam provides a useful introduction to the Big Four of social media – Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Google+ – to explain how these can assist your photography in this month’s installment of The Bizz. And for our Guest Feature we are thrilled to welcome on board experienced adventure photographer Marcin Jamkowski, as he explains how his interest in science lead to a career photographing expeditions of discovery around the world. In addition we have the Member’s Gallery, with constructive comments from David on a member’s work.

Please note that the full contents of Chasing the Light eZine is available to f11 subscribers only.
