Press Release

Photograph the stunning views of the worlds most beautiful cities - at dawn

Our photography workshops are inspired by fine art photographer Anthony Epes's books Paris at Dawn (2013), London at Dawn (2003, republished 2013) and Venice at Dawn (Autumn 2014). The workshops focus on dawn and early morning photography - with our Paris and Venice workshops incorporating afternoon and evening photography walks also.

Anthony will provide an intensive technical and creative training on the move through the city streets and help you create your own unique vision of each city.

“Photographing cities at dawn is a photographers paradise. The light is incredible and the city is virtually empty.  There are plentiful opportunities to create stunning images and I am always amazed at how few people take advantage of this time.

I will teach you how to photograph the dawn light - from the 'blue hour' when the sky turns from black, to deep blue and then starts to break open with sunlight. We will photograph the iconic views of each city as well as discovering hidden spots and interesting characters.” Anthony Epes

London at Dawn: Starts pre-dawn until 9/10am. Several weekends. May - September

Venice from Dawn to Dusk: May 15th - 18th

Paris from Dawn to Dusk: June 19th - 22nd

What our participants have said:

“I really enjoyed these photo days. Dawn is a fantastic time to see London in a different light and have the time and space to capture it on camera. Anthony’s expert guidance meant I picked up lots of technical tips which I could put into practice right away. “ Judith

“Being out and about in the lonely streets at dawn is a great feeling and the changing light really is special. Add to that plenty of expert instruction from Anthony (including many one-to-one opportunities to get guidance)...and being part of a fun group of like-minded photographers. My photography has come on in leaps and bounds as a result and I would recommend signing up for one of these workshops.” Deborah
