Cities at Dawn Team up with Guardian Masterclasses

October 30, 2014 | Zoltan Arva-Toth | Events | Comment |

Cities at Dawn have teamed up with Guardian Masterclasses to expand their programme into cities such as Rome and Istanbul. Offered as part of the unique learning programme run by The Guardian, these master classes give photographers of any level an opportunity to discover how dawn can transform their images – and their style. Through a series of dawn workshops with photographer Anthony Epes, participants will learn new skills whilst creating a personal portfolio. “Photography is an extraordinarily creative outlet – it has taught me how to truly see and experience the world; to not just pass through, busy and distracted, on my way to somewhere else," Anthony says. “That is why I love to teach photography, to support others in their creative journey.” Click through / scroll down for more information.

Capture the beauty of dawn around the world with new photo workshops from

Cities at Dawn & Guardian Masterclasses

Dawn is the very best time to photograph busy cities like New York and Paris, before the streets fill with people, and the light is at its most exquisite. Following on from the success of running photo workshops at dawn in London, Paris and Venice, Cities at Dawn have teamed up with Guardian Masterclasses to expand their program into cities such as Rome and Istanbul.

These spectacular masterclasses, offered as part of the unique learning program run by The Guardian, give photographers of any level an opportunity to discover how dawn can transform their images – and their style. Through a series of dawn workshops with photographer Anthony Epes, participants will learn new skills whilst creating a personal portfolio to be proud of. They'll also get to know the soul of a city, documenting a side of it even many of the locals don't see.

Anthony says “Photography is an extraordinarily creative outlet – it has taught me how to truly see and experience the world; to not just pass through, busy and distracted, on my way to somewhere else. That is why I love to teach photography, to support others in their creative journey.”

Originally from California, Anthony has been based in London since 2000. He has published three photo books, including London at Dawn (2nd edition) and Paris at Dawn as part of a series of books on Cities at Dawn, and is preparing to launch instalments shot in Venice, New York and Istanbul.
