Cobra Digital Debuts Value-Priced DC7550Z Digital Camera Featuring Power Zoom, 7.0 Megapixel Output - Sub-$200, High Performance Camera for Personal Use Includes 2.4” Color Display, Autofocus, 3X Optical/5X Digital Zoom

Cobra Digital, makers of affordable digital imaging products, announced today its new DC7550Z digital camera, a powerful combination of performance and value for the hobbyist or anyone interested in capturing top quality photos.  Incorporating a 3X optical and 5X digital power zoom lens, the DC7550Z delivers exceptional photographic images in resolutions as high as 7 megapixels, with a wide range of convenience features also included. Cobra Digital’s DC7550Z offers users a large, 2.4” TFT (110K pixel) liquid crystal display, making it easy to compose any kind of shot.  The 32MB flash memory and SD slot (card not included) with mass storage driver support ensures enough storage for a full day’s shooting, while the 2,592 x 1,944 pixel CCD sensor provides razor sharp imaging.

The DC7550Z has everything a photo lover could want to exercise their creativity.  The quality F2.8 to F32 lens ensures perfect exposures in any light; automatic functions include auto focus/shutdown/ exposure/white balance.  Shutter speeds range from 2-1/1000 sec. (day) to 8-1/1000 sec. (night) to capture all kinds of action.

As a bonus, the DC7550Z functions as a 15-to-30 fps portable camcorder as well as a PC camera.  Available file formats include AVI w/Sound Wave, EXIF2.2, DCR1.1, and DPOF1.2; to easily output still photos, the camera supports USB 1.1 and PictBridge.  TV output is available for both still photos and video using the included video cable.

Cobra Digital’s DC7550Z digital camera comes with Ulead photo editing software, USB and video cables and user’s manual.  The product supports Windows 98SE/2000/ME/XP as well as Mac 9.0 and is priced at $179 to $199 MSRP (USD).  Shipments of the DC7550Z are expected to begin in February, 2006.
