The ‘Monitor Showroom’ will showcase monitors from Eizo, LaCie and NEC. These monitors have been selected to feature in the new section due to their high standard of colour quality and value for money. A selection of these monitors will be on show at Stand E40 Focus On Imaging, 26th February ? 1st March, NEC, Birmingham. To visit the monitor showroom, go to www.colourconfidence.com/showroom

Colour Confidence has become trusted by customers as the only truly independent authority on colour management. This independence is derived from impartial advice based on customer need, and with this in mind the monitor showroom offers a choice of monitors which have been assessed in an unbiased way by a team of technical experts.

“The launch of the ‘Monitor Showroom’ has come as a direct response to the requests of our customers” commented Geoffrey Clements, Managing Director, Colour Confidence. “Many of them have been asking for advice on what is the best monitor for their needs and the ‘Monitor Showroom’ will provide a good overview. We expect this to become a valuable resource for many existing and new customers.”

Before launching the ‘Monitor Showroom’, Colour Confidence conducted rigorous testing of all the monitors being recommended in order to ensure they meet the highest standards of colour criticality. To pass the benefit of this testing onto customers, monitors have been sorted in four categories: monitors by manufacturer; monitors by size; monitors by price; and most importantly, monitors by colour quality. The ‘sort by quality’ category is based upon a star rating system. Monitors have been graded with 3, 4 or 5 stars in order to assist the customers purchasing process. A selection of other monitors which represent value for money without an emphasis on colour accuracy remain ungraded.

“We wanted to create an environment whereby customers could make an informed decision on purchasing a monitor” commented Simon Prais, Technical Director, Colour Confidence. “The ‘Monitor Showroom’ delivers this while offering people a wide range in terms of brand, size and specification. As a business we remain focussed on colour management and this development simply strengthens our position as a single source for all colour management needs.”

Colour Confidence are challenging manufacturers who haven’t been included in the launch of the Monitor Showroom to come to us and prove that their monitors have the colour quality to be added to the programme.
