The only time I can recall using them is the simple adjustments for this tutorial. They are not part of my digital workflow. The Levels and Curves tools give you more flexibility. Not only can you adjust brightness and contrast, you can also adjust the overall tonal range, middle tones, color balance, and even adjust the highlights separately from the shadows.”
