Unless you?re really on a tight budget, it’s rarely worth settling for an exclusively digital zoom, even on an entry level camera. The zoom on the 301 is so compromised, it’s hardly worth mentioning, and we ended up walking closer to an object to shoot it rather than relying on the zoom. “
