Version 8.3.1 of DxO Optics Pro adds support for the Panasonic Lumix GF6 (pictured) and G6, Olympus PEN E-P5, Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100, and Pentax K-50 II cameras. The program also benefits from many new DxO Optics Modules. 490 new camera/lens combinations have been added to the library, which now counts more than 14,000 modules. This upgrade is free for all owners of DxO Optics Pro 8, as well as for all photographers who acquired a DxO Optics Pro 7 licence on or after 1 September 2012.

September 4, 2013 – DxO Labs announces the immediate availability of DxO Optics Pro v8.3.1 for Mac and Windows, the new version of its image processing software of reference for all demanding photographers. This update means that DxO Optics Pro 8 now supports Panasonic Lumix GF6 and G6, Olympus PEN E-P5, Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100, and Pentax K-50 II cameras.

Based on DxO Labs’ innovative approach of prior calibration of photo equipment in its laboratories, DxO Optics Pro 8 includes many powerful and automatic tools for processing RAW and JPEG images. The software provides the most advanced lens corrections on the market, the best tool for adjusting light and contrast, and precise and accurate color management. Its unrivaled performance and intuitive interface offer a smooth and fast workflow.

DxO Optics Pro 8 won the 2013 TIPA prize for Best Photo Software, the 2013-2014 EISA prize for Photo Software, and the 2013 Hot One prize for Capture/Processing from the Professional Photographers of America (PPA) association.

More than 14,000 DxO Optics Modules now available

DxO Optics Pro v8.3.1 also benefits from many new DxO Optics Modules. 490 new camera/lens combinations have been added to the library, which now counts more than 14,000 available DxO Optics Modules.

DxO Optics Modules contain extensive information about the intrinsic characteristics of each camera and lens. This unique database allows DxO Optics Pro 8 to automatically correct such optical defects as distortion, vignetting, chromatic aberrations, and lens softness with an unmatched level of quality.
